Trestleboard ASHLER LODGE MARCH 2012 Greetings from the East, Our February Stated Communication got us back in the swing of things. We had a great turnout of Brothers, both members and guests. Our WB Secretary was well-prepared to handle 2 months-worth of business. We elected WB Chris Haynes, Bro Kevin Haagen and Bro Cordell Torres to 3 year terms on our Temple Board, ensuring the safety and upkeep of our building is in good hands. I was honored to present, along with our District Deputy, Lewis Jewels to 4 of our Brethren. What a fantastic legacy to honor a father and son within our Fraternity. If your father was a Mason, please let myself know so we can make sure you too receive this special Jewel! Bro Tracey Baxter will be raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason very soon! Congratulations on all his hard work. If you are interested in being part of the degree team, please contact the Junior Warden. We are continuing with our plan to transition to a digital Trestle Board. There will be email sign-up sheets again at our next meeting. Please make sure we have your email—contact us at AshlerSecretary@frontier.com. Fraternally, Darin Velin Worshipful Master ddvelin@hotmail.com 425.890.3771 Greetings from the West, Ashler Lodge has continued with our tradition of holding a chili cook-off, and then locking everyone is a room with no windows. This year Brother Dale Miller took home the prize for best chili. Congratulations Brother Dale, your chili was excellent. Fraternally, Gary McPherson Senior Warden gary@mc-pherson.com Greetings from the South, As the calendar turns and we celebrate yet another Chili Cook-Off victory by our esteemed brother, Dale Miller, it is time to turn our attention to the March meal. Of course, this will be our ever faithful corned beef and cabbage. And, as usual, our wonderful Jobies will be dishing it out for us so bring your appetites. Perhaps in lieu of green beer we could have green tea or green coffee… I don’t want to give away any secrets but you might want to bring your best Nike’s, wingtips, brogan’s, flats, stiletto’s, pumps, clogs, patent leather’s, boots, topsider’s or any other favorite shoe for their world-famous shoe auction. How I remember my first shoe auction, lo these many years ago… Fraternally, Roger Kaltenbach Junior Warden roger@thekaltenbachs.com For the most up to date information visit the Ashler web page at http://www.bothellmasons.org March 2012 CALENDAR Thu 1 7:00 pm - Masonic Education 8:00 pm – Temple Board Wed 7 6:30 pm – Rainbow Assembly #47 Sat 10 7:00 pm – Job’s Daughters Bethel #77 Wed 14 7:00 pm – T.H.
