Trestleboard           ASHLER LODGE          June 2012

Greetings from the East,

Thanks all for who could attend our May meeting. Our Senior Deacon, Bro Dan Southerland, had is work cut out for him with all the visitors from around the Jurisdiction and the Grand Master himself. Our dedication to our ritual paid off as everyone did a fantastic job hosting the GM.

We have 2 new members to initiate in June, and more petitions rolling in. If you are interested in participating in any of the degrees, please let me know!

June brings us to our Summer “break”, where we get really busy! Float construction for the 4th of July parade begins this week, and we are prepping for Music in the Park and our CHIPS events.

Hopefully, this will be the last paper trestleboard the Lodge will have to send out. We hope to have our electronic system in place for our September Trestle Board. Please make sure we have your email—contact us at AshlerSecretary@frontier.com.

Greetings from the West,

Summer is almost here, that means Music in the park. I would like to thank all of you for your past support. Because of the work done in the past the city Bothell considers us a permanent fixture and is welcoming us again this year.   The youth groups are looking forward to helping us, and I have had several Brothers volunteer to help as well. If you would like to volunteer a few hours on a Friday please shoot me an e-mail or give me a call. I also encourage all of you to come and spend an evening just listening to the music.   My wife Paula and our two yappy dogs will be there, so please come and join us.Fraternally,

Greetings from the South,

After a wonderful meal of Feijoada, for our May dinner (thank you again Bro. Gary) we look forward to our annual June BBQ.  While I’m still not certain what Feijoada is I do know that I liked it a lot and our June BBQ will hold no such mystery as Bro. Jared McLaughlin will once again be gracing us with his wonderful pulled pork and some other sides.  We will also be testing our new hot dog steamer just in time for our Music in the Park events starting in July.  Dress will be casual so please come down and enjoy the meal.

Remember it is also our car and motorcycle show and since the Worshipful Master, at his will and pleasure of course, decided to renege on his “German Only” car show (and then dumped his classy Teutonic ride for some non-descript English “pram”) I guess somebody else has a chance of winning.
